C.500 AD, the period immediately following the fall of the Roman Empire.  Retaining Roman characteristic but compromised quality reflecting the cultural upheaval.  Size 3 1/4.  The circular top plate with a divided banded motif.  These children's rings were often not worn in life but purchased for burial in a time when the mortality rate for children was staggering.
