19th century, gold overlaid copper, paying tribute to and invoking the blessing of a sainted monk. Oval, 24.5 mm (0.96 in) x 37.9 mm (1.49 in) with bust of the monk and identification on the front. Reverse with a talismanic symbol. Worn as a pendant and rubbed while praying.
