19th century, gold overlaid copper, paying tribute to and invoking the blessing of a sainted monk. Teardrop shaped, 20.3 mm (0.8 in) x 31.9 mm (1.25 in) with bust of the monk and identification on the front. Reverse with a talismanic symbol. Worn as a pendant and rubbed while praying.
