19th century, gold overlaid copper, paying tribute to and invoking the blessing of a sainted monk. Oval, 25.7 mm (1.01 in) x 38.1 mm (1.5 in) with bust of the monk and identification on the front. Reverse with a talismanic symbol. Worn as a pendant and rubbed while praying.
